Invites application for admission to the following courses Starting July 2008
- MBA (Energy) - A Two year Post Graduate Programme leading to Master of Business Administration (Energy)
- MBA (IT-NET) - A Two year Post Gradaute programme leading to Master of Business Administration (IT-NETWORKING)
- MBA (MFG) - A Two year Post Graduate Programme leading to Master of Business Administration (Manufacturing)
Eligibility :
- MBA (Energy) : BE/B.Tech. in Electrical or Mechanical Branch of Engineering.
- MBA (IT-Net) : Graduation in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or MCA. Candidates with B.Sc. /M.Sc. in physical sciences will also be considered for admission provided they undertake a one year bridge course in the relevant area, to be offered by LMT School of Management, to enhance the students capability to the level required for going through the MBA Programme
- MBA (Manufacturing) : Graduation in any branch of Engineering/ Technology. Candidates with B.Sc. /M.Sc. in physical sciences will also be considered for admission provided they undertake a one year bridge course in the relevant area, to be offered by LMT School of Management, to enhance the students capability to the level required for going through the MBA Programme.
Candidates appearing for the final year Bachelor's examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.
Method of Selection : Candidates appearing for any the nationally recognised entrance tests for Management like CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET etc. will be considered for admission through GD and Personnel interview. The candidates who did not take any of these testes will be required to take a formal test to be conducted by LMT School of Management, Thapar University at Patiala on 16th March, 2008.
How to Apply : The candiates can secure the application form cum information brochure from Asst. Registrar (Academic), Thapar University, Patiala on payment of Rs.1000/- by a crossed DD in favour of Registrar, Thapar university, Patiala. Application forms can also be downloaded from the university website http://www.thapar.edu/, separate application is to be submitted alongwith fees for separate courses to exercise more than one option if the candidate wants.
